The Sun Welding H-24 Home Burglar Fire Safe features a solid 3/16″ steel plate door and a 12-gauge solid steel body as standard. You can choose between a mechanical day locking dial or an electronic keypad for added convenience. The lock is safeguarded by a 1/4″ hard plate and 1/2″ absorption plate, providing resistance against impact, drilling, or punch attacks.
With two spring-loaded re-locking systems protecting the independent bolt works, the entire bolt works are secured together. The bolt works offer three active bolts on the opening side of the door and five dead bolts on the hinge side.
The H-24 Home Burglar Fire Safe comes with a thirty-minute fire rating, with available upgrades to 1.5 hours. The UL fire insulation protects all six interior surfaces, ensuring your valuables are safeguarded.

Solid Steel Plate: Sun Welding offers a range of solid steel plate options for the Heirloom Series, varying from 3/16″ to 1/2″ for the door and 12 Gauge (7/64″) to 3/16″ for the body. The door frame is constructed from solid 3/16″ steel for added security, ensuring it won’t flex like composite drywall doors. The recessed door provides extra security, and a heat-activated door seal expands up to 7 times its size to seal out smoke and heat. The bodies are continuously welded for ultimate durability.
Exterior Hinges: Sun Welding offers heavy-duty exterior hinge sets with a full 180° swing door, allowing easy door removal for transportation convenience.
Lifetime Warranty: Sun Welding’s warranty covers fire, theft, and burglary, with extended warranties available for locks and entry.
Exterior Finish: Choose from a variety of gloss paint finishes, meticulously hand-painted and adorned with hand-applied logos available in chrome, gold, or black. The safe features a single drop handle, adding a stylish finishing touch.
Interior Finish: Sun Welding lines the six interior walls with 5/8″ fire board for enhanced protection. The interior is then hand-built from solid 3/4″ particle board and finished with a velour fabric in various colors. You can select from different configurations, including one rifle configuration or a solid collector shelf interior. Six pre-drilled mounting holes on the bottom of each safe allow for easy bolting to the floor.
Custom-built interiors are also available, tailored to your specifications.
Bolt Works & Linkage: The Heirloom Series is equipped with an independent mounted bolting system, designed to thwart various attacks. With a cam drive system to gear the linkage, these parts are highly resistant to breakage under pressure. The safe features six 1″ diameter locking bolts, with three active on each side and three dead on the hinge side. For added security, two re-lockers are protected by Armor Hard Plate and a second 1/2″ steel plate.
Group 2 Combination or Electronic Lock: Sun Welding offers the option of a UL listed group 2 combination mechanical lock or an electronic lock. Various manufactures are available, including BigRed, S&G, LaGard, and SecuRam, with EMP-proof redundant style locks also offered.
Exceeds UL RSC and CA DOJ Requirements: Every Sun Welding Safe surpasses the UL RSC and CA DOJ requirements, ensuring exceptional security.
Fire Rating: The Heirloom Series is equipped with fire insulation on all six sides, complemented by a heat-sensitive expanding fire seal that swells up to eight times its size to fill gaps around the door. The fire rating test involves placing the safe in an oven at 1200°F for a specified time, with the internal temperature reaching 350°F. The actual burn time depends on factors such as fire temperature and duration.
