Description

BASF | Ultrafuse® Natural Nylon (PA) – 750g

BASF Material is proudly produced in Europe
This is an industrial-grade material that requires experienced 3D printing knowledge. Please consult the technical data sheet. It is recommended to print with an enclosure.
For optimal performance and longevity for this filament. Keep in a dry sealed bag with desiccant or PrintDry container when not in use.

Ultrafuse® PA Natural Filament

Ultrafuse PA is specially developed for 3D printing and it is based on BASF´s polyamide portfolio known as Ultramid®. The filament has unique mechanical properties due to its chemical structure. This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications working within a larger temperature range.

Technical Specs
  • 750 gr. spools with 2.85mm diameter
  • 750 gr. spools with 1.75mm diameter
Print Settings
  • Print Speed 30 – 60 mm/sec
  • Nozzle temperature 220 – 250 °C
  • Nozzle: ≥ 0.4 mm diameter
  • Bed temperature > 90 – 120 °C
  • Bed modification: Clean glass + PVA glue stick / Kapton tape / PA adhesive

Key Properties
  • Suitable for a wide range of different components and machine elements, such as high-grade electrical insulation material
  • Good fatigue resistance
  • High mechanical strength
  • Low melting point makes it printable for many FFF printers
  • Good wear resistance / lubricity
  • Good impact resistance at low temperatures

Overview

The key features of BASF Ultrafuse PA are the high strength and high modulus. Furthermore, Ultrafuse PA shows a good thermal distortion stability.

BASF Ultrafuse® PA is the translation of BASF´s Ultramid® to the 3D printing space. It is based on a copolyamide 6/66 grade of intermediate viscosity. With BASF Ultrafuse® PA, it is possible to print semi-flexible thin parts; however, it is very rigid at higher thicknesses.

It has a lower melting temperature than PA6 and PA66, meaning it can be printed at a lower temperature and also has better impact resistance versus PA6 and PA66, opening up a whole new application field for end-users.
