Recommendations:
- Plan: The mag pocket won’t stick to velour-style carpet. Look inside your safe and observe the positions of your shelving and gun racks. It’s necessary to ensure the pockets do not overlap or come into contact with the interior shelves or gun rack.
- Test Fit: Perform a test fit by placing the pocket on the door panel, ensuring it does not interfere with interior shelving or other items within the safe. Typically, there is minimal space between your interior shelving and the rear panel of the safe door.
- Test Fit with Your Gear In The Pocket: Conduct a test fit with your gear inside the pocket. Gently close the door and check for smooth, resistance-free closure. You should not need to force the door shut.
- Designate a Permanent Place for The Pocket: Establish a fixed location for the magazine pocket to prevent frequent repositioning. Continually moving the pocket on a carpeted surface may result in the holster pulling the carpet away from what the carpet is attached to.
- Never Force Your Door Shut: Avoid applying force to close your door. If the door does not readily and smoothly close, it’s necessary to reposition or remove the pocket. Forcing the door shut and securing it could lead to operational issues with your safe, potentially causing wear and tear on other components within the door mechanism.
