The rare earth magnet comes sheathed in a durable plastic cover to prevent scratches to your pistol. All it takes to install is to attach the assembly to your desired surface using the supplied attachment screws. The magnet on the Tactical Walls HAM01 Hide-A-Mag is 1/4″ H x 4.00″ W x 1.00″ D. The pull force is rated for over 35 pounds.
Do you have a firearm that has a polymer grip? The magnet on the Hide-A-Mag will still catch the barrel and/or slide.
